Students Selected for Governor's Art Competition

Congratulations to the Jackson High School Visual Arts students that participated in the regional Governor’s Youth Art Competition. Fifteen students representing 29 artworks were selected to advance to state competition! Amazing given that 1,300 pieces were selected for the state competition out of more than 6,000 entries.

JHS Regional winners Ava Adams, Grace Bonvechio, Zachary Border, Samantha Coursen, Mackenzie Czakansky, Emily DeRosa, Paige Edmiston, Casey Lowry, Sophia Pavichevich, Madeline Porter, Leah Salomone, Kenzie Tran, Keya Williams, Sarah Henson, and Hannah Knight.

The State Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition opens at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower, across from the State Capitol, on April 24 and closes May 19. Save the date!
